ABOUT THE WORK
VISUAL AND CONCEPTUAL CONTRASTS inspire ME. I AM ESPECIALLY ATTRACTED TO THE BALANCE of MASCULINE AND FEMININE. I BELIEVE THIS COMES FROM THE ACT OF SILVERSMITHING ITSELF. MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WOULD DESCRIBE ME AS A GIRL'S GIRL. HOWEVER AT MY JEWELRY BENCH, FIRING TORCH, HAMMER AND IRON MANDREL IN HAND, I TAKE ON AN ALTER EGO. I find AN AMAZINGLY RUGGED AND MACHO FORCE THAT IS UNALIGNED FROM MY TRADITIONAL FEMININE APPEARANCE AND PERSONA. THe energy from this DUALITY TRANSLATEs INTO MY PHYSICAL WORK.
